June 15th, 2007Google has just released its Google Custom Search Engine. Based on my experience I think this is one of the best thing that Google have created because of it’s features.
Ok, here is my assesment of the new Custom Search Engine.
1. You can create your own search engine in very fast and easy way.
2. Neat looking layout.
3. Just like the title says Custom Search Engine you can customized the color and layout of your Search Engine.
4. You can place it on your website for free and easy to integrate.
5. You can earn money from it. Because if you place it to your site and someone clicks on the ads on your search results you will earn per click. To read more about on how to earn money from Google Custom Search visit this page.
6. You can also limit the search results of your customized search engine. Lets say you want to include some of your website on it on the search results. It’s a way of gaining traffic to your other website.

What is del.icio.us? How it works? Whats with Del.icio.us that made it so cool and popular ?
If you’re one of these individual who are still asking these type of questions, it’s youre lucky day today because today I will give you the general answers to your questions. Del.icio.us is been around for quite a while now and few millions of members as of now and multiplying everyday.
What is del.icio.us?
del.icio.us is a social bookmarking service. It’s like a myspace where you could share your profile to your friends. But in del.icio.us you are sharing bookmarks.
So whats so cool with sharing bookmarks?
Since there are millions of people using del.icio.us your bookmarks might be added to some of these million people. So if you have a favorite site and want to share it to millions of people you will have a free exposure.

Google has just released Google Blog Search which will really help bloggers to keep readers to be updated on their blogs.
What it does mean to me as a blogger?
The Google blog search has a pinging service that lets RSS feed of a weblogs so that when they updated their blogs, Google can display it on Google Blog Search and it your weblogs will be added to the index and crawled website.
How important Google blog search for SEO?
As an SEO your role is to keep your site gets crawled and indexed by Google and other search engines. So if you have a blog you have update your blog so that Google blog search will find your site and gets crawled and indexed.
What are the ways to get your weblog ping by Google blog search?
Either you do it manually or just update your site and let Google blog search finds your blogs. If you want to do it manually, you can submit your URL here

What are the roles of an SEO?
As an SEO and Online Marketing Associate you will be responsible for improving and executing our SEO strategies to accomplish higher search engine rankings and increase website traffic without jeopardizing our network’s credibility (i.e. make sure you do not employ black hat strategies or any strategy that can get us penalized or banned by the major search engines). Your tasks and responsibilities are the following:
Weblog Analysis – Our websites generate logs that have to be carefully analyzed to see how our websites are performing. Every month we create reports for all our websites and distribute those reports within our organization. You will be co-responsible for creating and analyzing these reports.
Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) Analysis - We carefully track the search engine rankings of all our websites. Every month a report is created on how each website ranks for its major keywords. You will be co-responsible for creating and analyzing these reports.
Link & Marketing Campaigns - To further increase our search engine rankings, we constantly look for related or complementary high quality websites that we can either exchange links with or buy links from. You will assist in running these campaigns by finding potential partners and managing our negotiations with them. The campaign also includes implementing other strategies that will increase our rankings in SERPs.
Online Marketing of Partner Programs - Our websites also feature multiple Partner Programs that enable other companies or websites to collaborate with us. These are not directly SEO-related but help increase the general popularity and profitability of our websites. You will assist in finding potential partners and managing our negotiations with them.
SEO Research - The world of SEO is fast moving and we need to make sure that we are up-to-date with the latest SEO Developments. Your task will be to research well-known SEO resources on a regular basis and update our SEO Knowledge Base.
On-Page Optimization – As an SEO you are required to check if the pages of the sites are SE friendly.
SEO Techniques
As an SEO we employ different techniques/strategies to make our rankings higher in SERPs. These strategies are composed of three (3) major parts namely Link Building, On-Page Analysis, and Adding Content to our Knowledge Base.
Link Building is the most important part of our SEO strategy because Search Engine gives votes to sites with relevant sites linking to our sites. So your role is to acquire as many relevant/quality links as possible to link into our site. Link Building Strategy is explained in detailed in the next chapter.
On-Page analysis is part of your job as an SEO to make sure our site’s WebPages are all Search Engine friendly. This includes researching for keywords to be added n our site. Adding Content to our Knowledge Base is also part of your job. You’re the one responsible to add any information you’ve gathered while doing your job.
Link Exchange Guide
May 1st, 2007After receiving numerous link exchange request on some of my sites. I’ve decided to write a guide if you want your site to be accepted in a link exchange. First of all if you’re just building an MFA sites the percentage that your site will be accepted is around 10 to 20 %. Then why should you spend creating a Made-for-Ads/Adsense (MFA) sites if your site will just be rejected and will not rank in SERP absolutely. But if your intention is to spam to get traffic then it’s a different scenario. (This is black hat SEO technique and will be penalized by Search Engine soon)
Nowadays I’ve seen lot of crap sites. When I say crap sites it means the site’s content is ripped off from another site.
There are some ways how to know if a site’s content is ripped off from other site just copy a part of the article and paste it in google then it will show results relevant to your site.
Should I go for automatic link exchange software?
The answer is no. The only chances that your site will be accepted are webmaster that don’t know much about SEO. And usually the site is garbage and the owner is not serious on his site.
Also make sure you are dealing with trusted person. Because most of the time when I’m dealing with someone after few weeks my link is removed or been placed to page in his/her site that cannot be accessed through homepage.
As always do not link exchange with “bad neighborhood” porno and pharmacy related sites are one of them. It will surely hurt your site’s rankings in SERP if you will link back to these sites.
Should I go for Higher PR sites?
Yes, but make sure you are linking to a relevant sites as well. Again quantity vs quality is the issue here. I suggest you choose quality because this is the most important in link building.
Why should I go for higher PR sites?
Simply because higher PR is loved by Google. Meaning more spiders will visit your site. The more spiders the highest the percentage that your site will be indexed fast. And soon the rankings will improve also. But definitely PR isn’t directly related in SERP. It doesn’t imply that the higher the PR the higher the rankings in SERP. This is the common SEO myth.
Also I want to give you what Matt Cutts think on link exchange.
” The best links are not paid, or exchanged after out-of-the-blue emails–the best links are earned and given by choice. ”
So it’s better make your site more useful so that people will voluntary link to you.
