PageRank Update
January 19th, 2008While browsing the internet searching for merchant account website, a friend told me that most of his website TBPR increases. Yes, the first quarter Pagerank update (Toolbar PageRank imported) recently happened in the webmaster world. It is one of the most awaited happenings in the webmaster world because according to most of the webmaster, it is the barometer of their website’s performance in terms of link building and to some they think that PageRank is part of the algorithm of Google in ranking websites.
This theory has been debated on different webmaster forums and blogs. I personally think that it is part of the algorithm of Google in ranking websites to their SERPs. PageRank of a website is used to measure how your website will perform in SERPs. Although it is not directly related that if you have high pagerank in the toolbar doesn’t mean you can rank in SERPs other than with lower pagerank.
